Life is hectic, and it stinks. However, it could be worse. You could wake up one day to a Demon-Level threat of giant water monsters stalking through your streets, defeating all of your favorite superheroes. Andy and Bill dive into Episode 8 of One Punch Man, “The Deep Sea King.” This one is good, fans!
Wait a minute…Thurk is here? AND Josh!? It’s a miracle…and a bit of a nightmare to edit. But that’s okay! This week the four of us talk about the second-to-last Wolf’s Rain episode, “High Tide, High Time.” Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for the wolves…well, here we go!
Real quick, there’s an AMAZING announcement at the start of this episode! Stay through the Break Card segment for full details!
Andy picked the right episode to review this week! Not only do we get a Yoko spotlight episode, but we find out what she’s been up to during the years between the first and second arc. Yoko is laying down the law in the classroom as a teacher in this week’s episode of Gurren Lagann, “You Are Someone Who Ought to Survive.”
Prison fight scene? Check. Man butt? Check. A surprisingly just okay episode in the second arc of Gurren Lagann? Check. This week we review Episode 20 of Gurren Lagann, “How Far Will God Test Us?” It’s not bad, but could this be a sign that the series is already starting to lose its grip on Andy and Bill? Listen to our review to find our for yourself!
Better late than never, right? Our sincerest apologies for the lateness of this episode. We’ll try and do better going forward! At least you didn’t have to go watch Gurren Lagann, right? I mean…we are excited to review Episode 12 of the show, “Yoko, Will You Do Me a Favor?” Do me a favor and get us a new anime, please.
Josh is back! We celebrate by reviewing easily the worst episode of Gurren Lagann yet. Even Josh hates this one. It also made for a pretty short discussion, so we’re sorry about that! Come listen to our quick chat on Episode 4, “Having Lots of Faces Doesn’t Make You Great!”
If you thought last week was a departure, prepare to move completely away from the realm of animation into the drama and reality of The Newsroom. Yes, Andy’s pick for the final Summer Viewing Program is the HBO program that came from the political mind of Aaron Sorkin. Even if you’re not a fan of anime, give it a listen!
