Things have been crazy busy lately. To make up for our lack of posting episodes on time, here’s a bonus episode of bloopers! We’ll have one final set of bloopers from Season 2 left. These come from Episodes 15-20 of our Trigun reviews.
Surprise! We’re a day early! And we’re back to our reviews of Gurren Lagann! This week we have one of the most important episodes of the series, and it’s one that doesn’t inherently anger both Bill and Andy. Well, maybe a little bit. Episode 8, “Later Buddy,” may not be Trigun-level storytelling, but it’s a fond way to say farewell to one of the hosts’ favorite characters.
We’re back! This week we have…well…woof. Being completely honest, it’s not a great episode of Gurren Lagann, and even Josh agrees with Bill and Andy this time. Get your towels because it’s a bath house episode meets a clip episode in Episode 6, “Sit in the Hot Tub ‘Till You’re Sick!!”
Josh is back! We celebrate by reviewing easily the worst episode of Gurren Lagann yet. Even Josh hates this one. It also made for a pretty short discussion, so we’re sorry about that! Come listen to our quick chat on Episode 4, “Having Lots of Faces Doesn’t Make You Great!”
Bill and Andy go it alone in their review of the second episode of Gurren Lagann. How will this review go without Josh there to sing the praises of this anime? Actually, they have a good talk about the depiction of LGBT characters in anime and break down the happenings of Episode 2, “I Said I’m Gonna Pilot That Thing!”
We’re on to Bill’s pick for our Summer Viewing Program series! This time we sneak away from anime all together to cover a western cartoon, Over the Garden Wall. Both Andy and Josh loved it, and the gang end up staying mostly on task and not as vulgar for once!
Thank you for being patient as we took last week off! We needed the extra time to get caught up, and now we have the first of three Summer Viewing Programming episodes! This week it’s Josh’s pick, and we’re watching Team Four Star’s Dragon Ball Z Abridged! Andy and Bill had some problems with it, but overall everyone seemed to enjoy it. Join us for our discussion of fan dubbing and our thoughts on the show. Also, can you guess how many times we hear the Josh Owned Counter?
We promised a special surprise in this episode. Listen to the Break Card for that info. This week we review the second to last episode of Trigun, “Live Through.” It’s an emotional one, and we all enjoyed it! Stay tuned for our review of the finale next week!
