This week we come down from the high of Episode 14 to discuss Episode 15, “Harry.” Sure, it’s not as good as the last episode we reviewed, but Andy, Bill, and Josh break down the aftermath of that shocking elevator scene.
Listeners…you are in for an amazing ride. This may be one of the best episodes of any anime we have discussed in such a very long time. This week Andy, Bill, and special guest Superfan Matt discuss Episode 14 of Gungrave, “Die.” Big Daddy plans to step down as the leader of the organization, and he has to pick a successor? Is this Harry’s chance to seize power? What role will Brandon play in all of this given his love for both Big Daddy and Harry? Will there ever be a better elevator scene in media? We answer all of these questions on this week’s amazing episode! Go listen!
Things are really starting to heat up this episode, leading to the boiling point that is next time’s review. However, we have another good episode of Gungrave this week in Episode 13, “Betrayal.” Big thanks to Superfan Matt for joining us this week! Always a pleasure to talk anime with him!
It’s a Bill and Andy episode! They review Episode 12 of Gungrave, “Kind.” Sadly, they both aren’t too kind to the content of this one. We skip ahead in time yet again, and the events of this episode are mostly filler. At least there’s still some really good conversation to be had!
Welcome to 2021! We’re back with a brand new double episode review! This week’s episode marks the end of the Blood War story arc. Will Brandon and Harry help the organization defeat Lightning and their army of undead gunmen? You’ll have to listen and find out as we review Episode 10, “Conflict,” and Episode 11, “Heat.”
I cannot believe that we have finally reached the end of 2020 after the last 27 months. Well, it’s felt that long, at least. We have a couple of fun games as well as gift giving. Speaking personally (it’s Andy btw), despite how bad 2020 has been, I am thankful for everything that we have managed to accomplish still this year. And we are all thankful for you, the fans, who continue to listen to us and support our show. Here’s to a hopefully brighter 2021.
This week marks the beginning of an awesome story arc! Episode 9, “Dispute,” introduces us to the rough and tumble Blood War. Maybe Bill is right about these names. Anywho, Blood War takes charge of a group of men and prepares to launch an all out war against Millenion. Brandon and Harry step forward to put a stop to this maniac, but will they be able to stop a plan that involves bringing the dead to life? Guess you’ll have to listen to this week’s episode and find out!
It was the best of episodes. It was the worst of episodes. Talk about a mixed bag this week! The boys are back with another two pack episode. Josh reviews the sorta meh Episode 7, “5 Years Later.” Then Andy goes through the stellar Episode 8, “Family.” Brandon and Harry continue to climb the ladder at Millenion, but who will be sacrificed along the way of their ascent? Guess you’ll have to join us to find out more!
Yeah, we know it’s October. However, this episode was supposed to be part of our Summer Viewing before we started Season 6. What with Global Warming and living in the Midwest, what even are seasons anyway? We’re so excited to bring on one of our favorite people and podcast hosts, Yata from My Anime Podcast! This week we dive into the first three episodes of Mob Psycho 100, and man, did we all have an absolute (psychic) blast. We bet you will, too! At least, we read your minds and saw that you did…or will? Being an esper is hard work.
Well, this isn’t exactly anime, and we may never financially recover from this. However, Bill made Andy watch the first episode of Netflix’s Tiger King. And they dig into Andy’s initial reactions and Bill’s overall thoughts on the documentary series. We promise to return with anime content next week and hope that you enjoy this tangent into…the very strange lives of private zoo owners.
Also, we are going to start releasing Season 1 over on our YouTube channel! So be on the look out for that!
