Welcome back to another Summer Viewing Program! For those new to this series, we take a break between seasons to watch and talk about something that each host wants the other two to experience.

This week is more than just a regular summer viewing. Today we discuss a recently uncovered piece of anime history. For those that have not heard, the fabled American pilot for Sailor Moon, dubbed “Saban Moon” by many, finally found the light of day thanks to the tireless work of Ray Mona. Both a music video and pilot emerged, and the anime world saw a glimpse of what could have been. Andy had to talk about this, and the cast did! Join us for an insane look at a very, very bad pilot of an Americanized version of Sailor Moon.

We’re back to just Bill and Andy, but we cannot wait any longer! We’re so close to the end of Season 4 that we had to march on, regardless of how short the episode ended up. At least both of our intrepid hosts agreed that Episode 24 of Wolf’s Rain, “Scent of a Trap,” was really good. Everyone finds their way closer to Jaguara’s Keep, but only one wolf seems to have her true attention. This one ends with a bit of a cliff hanger! Join us for another discussion of Wolf’s Rain!

This week it’s just Andy and Bill since Josh is off getting married and shit. It’s Andy’s week to review his choice for Season 4, and he and Bill have an absolute blast trying to make sense of what’s going on. There are massive airship battles, a dandeleon flower maiden, and horny wolves in this week’s episode of Wolf’s Rain, “The Flower Maiden.”
