We hope you enjoyed last week’s bonus season episode because we have yet another for you this week! Andy and Bill return to the Accursed Island of Lodoss to review Episode 3, “The Black Knight,” and Episode 4, “The Grey Witch.” Will Parn make it to King Fahn? What troubles will Karla and Ashram cause? Listen now to hear Bill actually gush about an anime and to join in on the D&D banter.
Due to Josh’s wedding day, we’re releasing a brand new bonus season. This time it’s Andy and Bill reviewing one of their favorite animes of all time, the OVA of The Record of Lodoss War. They’re doubling up on their reviews, tackling two at a time. Join us for a history on Lodoss War and our thoughts on Episode 1, “Prologue to the Legend,” and Episode 2, “Blazing Departure.”
Apologies for being late again! We’re going to try and move our release days to Thursdays to allow some needed time to put together and produce the show. This week it’s just Andy and Bill since Josh is off getting married and shit. It’s Andy’s week to review his choice for Season 4, and he and Bill have an absolute blast trying to make sense of what’s going on. There are massive airship battles, a dandeleon flower maiden, and horny wolves in this week’s episode of Wolf’s Rain, “The Flower Maiden.”
To make up for missing a week, please enjoy a bonus blooper episode on top of our regular episode. These bloopers are from the second half of Season 3, which was our review of Gurren Lagaan. As always, listener discretion on our blooper episodes is advised.
This week we review the second half of a really good Wolf’s Rain two parter, “The Successors.” Your hosts have a lot of fun this episode, which is just good to see since Josh has been sour on some of the initial episodes. Listen to find out what Kiba and the rest of the wolves do after witnessing the townspeople enslaving what’s left of Zali’s pack. Oh yeah, and we have an unexpected guest host.
Josh has found a new character! Too bad Ol’ Ear Hair isn’t long for this world. This week Kiba and the other wolves wander into a rundown (not the wrestling podcast) city on their search for Paradise and find just about anything but fields of lunar flowers. The guys really seem to enjoy this week’s episode, which is a nice change of pace! Join us for our review of Episode 5 of Wolf’s Rain, “Fallen Wolves.”
The crew is back with a brand new review of Wolf’s Rain! This week all four wolves are drawn together with a single goal: to bicker and escape human gunfire! Episode 3 is up this week, which is entitled “Bad Fellow.” Will Josh like this episode better? Will Bill be any less confused? Will Andy keep up his excitement for the show? Listen to find out.
